For No Reason At All

You dwell in my heart
You inspire my life
You strengthen my weakness
You console me in my loneliness
For no reason at all

You pick me up when I fall
You accept all my failures
You protect me from my fears
You wipe away my tears
For no reason at all

You shield me from rejection
You laugh at my ambitions
You wonder at my imaginations
You save me from damnation
For no reason at all

You smile at my innocence
You forgive all my sins
You listen to my wishes
You care for my dreams
For no reason at all

You come when I need you
You stay when I forget you
You walk with me in my journey
You stand by me in my insecurity
For no reason at all

But

LOVE!

For me, this is the meaning of Christmas 2007.

classroom scene

The teacher, during an English lesson asked the students: Now tell me. What do you call a person who keeps on talking when people are no longer interested?"
A student in the back bench replied: "A teacher."

There was a school girl who was so cross-eyed that when she cried, the tears from her left eye fell on her right cheek.

Tommy's teacher wrote to his mother: "Tommy is a bright boy, but he spends all his time thinking about girls."
Tommy's mother wrote back to his teacher: "If you find a cure, let me know. I'm having the same trouble with his father."

The God of Silence

God is the God of silence. If you wish to hear him, first you have to keep quiet in order to listen to Him. In the silence of your heart you will hear him speak.

In order to have this grace, allow yourself to take time to pause and keep quiet and be at peace, then you will know that the God of silence is present within your being. May Jesus fill your heart with His peace.

False confessor

Fortunato is a small farmer who used to confess to Fr. Leon. One day, Fr. Leon disappeared from the barrio because he was sent to the city. Fortunato learned about this transfer and decided to search for him in the city. He entered a church and found a confessional box. He knocked at one box and inquired.
"Excuse me, Father, are you Fr. Leon?
"No," my son. I am Fr. Wolf," the priest replied.
"Oh, I am sorry, Father. I entered the wrong cage.

Fraternal life

Fraternal life in community has undergone many transformations and changes that have created repercussions within the Church, especially after the Second Vatican Council. There have been theological developments, canonical developments and developments in society. Religious men and women were mostly influenced by the impact of these major changes, foremost among which is the preferential option for the poor, the impoverishment of depressed areas in many places of the developing countries.

Do this in memory of me

"Do this in memory of me." When you hear these words, what is it that comes into your mind? I think it entails a lot of experiences of Jesus' life. One of those was when He said, "Take this cup away from me, but your will be done". Not only this but it is followed by His suffering and death.

In our life, as we look back we discover experiences that speaks of our suffering and "deaths" where we can unite ourselves to Jesus' suffering and death. We are united with Him. We are in communion with Him.
Do you know that whenever you call His name, you are in communion with Him? Many times we call Him with urgency when we are in crisis or difficulties. And this is the moment that we are in communion with Him. It is a paradox but it is beautiful to say, thank you Lord for the suffering and "deaths" I experience because it is there that I feel close to you.

So I invite you then, to pray for those who had been the cause of our crisis, so too, they will be untied and we are all united inspite of our weaknesses and limitations. Jesus loves us the same, whoever we are. Just as we are, Jesus loves us dearly. Happy Feast day of Corpus Christi.
