"Do this in memory of me." When you hear these words, what is it that comes into your mind? I think it entails a lot of experiences of Jesus' life. One of those was when He said, "Take this cup away from me, but your will be done". Not only this but it is followed by His suffering and death.
In our life, as we look back we discover experiences that speaks of our suffering and "deaths" where we can unite ourselves to Jesus' suffering and death. We are united with Him. We are in communion with Him.
Do you know that whenever you call His name, you are in communion with Him? Many times we call Him with urgency when we are in crisis or difficulties. And this is the moment that we are in communion with Him. It is a paradox but it is beautiful to say, thank you Lord for the suffering and "deaths" I experience because it is there that I feel close to you.
So I invite you then, to pray for those who had been the cause of our crisis, so too, they will be untied and we are all united inspite of our weaknesses and limitations. Jesus loves us the same, whoever we are. Just as we are, Jesus loves us dearly. Happy Feast day of Corpus Christi.
